St. Louis Event: More Cheers for the Kids

On September 3rd, Brad visited St. Louis for another Evening of Cheers.  With 150 people attending the event at Cardwell’s in Clayton, the guests learned more about Brad and his story to help kids with Tourette syndrome.  Everyone learned more about the foundation and the great things being done.  Also included was entertainment from magician Rick Silver, a silent auction, a raffle, and a lot of food.

“The money raised will help us continue supporting programs for kids with Tourette syndrome across the United States,” said Brad Cohen, President of the BCTF.  “There are a lot of things organizations want to do and during these tough economic times, I want to make sure money is not holding them back from providing the services that are needed for these kids.”

During the night, there were a couple special presentations.  First, Brad gave out the “Front of the Class Award” to three kids who have proved to rise to the top and be at the front of their class.  Recipients Devin Downey, Cole Johnson and Rachel Schechter were all recognized with a framed certificate.  The main goal of this award is to recognize kids for their strengths they have in life. Not just being another kid with Tourette.  Second was Elyssa Beilenson, who gave a special presentation and a donation to the foundation.  Elyssa chose the BCTF as one of her charities to donate to after her bat mitzvah.

Board members Brad Cohen and Norman Cohen were in attendance.  Also a special thank you to the committee of Ellen Goldstein, Jeff Cohen, Nancy Cohen, Michelle Beilenson, Brian Peck, Aimiee Goben, Heather Johnson, Melissa Baris, Mike Minoff, Alan Snyder and Bob Steinback.
